Took the long way to the beer store. 

Another ride to the office. With the wind to, against the wind fro. That combined with the heat gave me a touch of the prostration. 

 

Not 22 consecutive miles; ride broken into 4-, 7-, and 11-mile segments.

Car trouble forced a ride to and from work. Not a bad pace given that I was nursing a Grade 2 hangover on the way there and was in pouring rain on the way home. 

 

At times, very slow-paced taking older brother for his first Ride. Hard to slow it down for newbies. 

I "commuted" today! Had some errands to run, so I took my bike. Went Old Jack/Monroe into town. Very nice. 

Winds from the south made it difficult to go in that direction. 

Quick jaunt through west-side neighborhoods before sunset. 

Riding with a friend who is skinnier but less gung-ho about riding than I am. Stopped a few times so he could catch up. Almost a 2 mph/hr avg difference btw cyclometer and GPS app. 

A ride around the eastern outskirts of Alexandria, Minn. Very hilly and very windy that day. 

From Alexandria to Garfield, Minn., and back on the Central Lakes Trail. 

 

Legs gave out about halfway through. I wonder if that's from too many miles too closely together or from swimming earlier today. 

Lungs wore out before my legs for the first time since getting back out. 

 

Nice ride in the woods at Lewis Memorial Acres. Four miles on this trip were spent on the road getting to and from. 

Picked a bad time of day to go on a 14-mile bike ride. 

Doesn't really count as an 11-mile ride as it was broken into four segments. Rode with a friend at a sometimes-languid pace, which was good for stamina.

Max speed reached purely by the effects of gravity. 

Another Wabash Trail sojourn. Refrained from going balls-out and was able to keep a good pace the whole time. 

My legs have about 5 miles in them so far. 

To post office and back. Bulk spent on Wabash Trail. 

First time out in a loooong time. Did the Old-Jack-to-Wabash loop on Koke Mill 

A quick jaunt down to the grocery for a few things. 

Another ride to the postal station. I seem to be getting worse, not better. 

Took the trail down to the postal station. With the wind, I averaged about 21 mph on the way there. On the way back, not so much. 

To B-Dubs and back to pick up dinner. They jacked up my order, though, so I still had to drive over to pick up the correct order 

A quick jaunt down to Walgreens for some meds. 

Headed south on Koke Mill Road and Cockrell Lane. Quite windy. Turned back once I saw some new hoidy-toidage going up. 

Finally got my cyclometer installed. Gonna take my bike erranding more to save on gas.
