Elkart Hill. Nastiest hill in Central Illinois. Topped out at 36 mph on the way down.

First ride of 2009. Nasty head wind, made for a great tail wind on the way back. 

 

Ran then biked this morning with Sarah. 

First Century!! Beautiful day - the last 5 miles were the hardest. 

Personal longest. Quite a challenging ride. 

RB - Group ride. Excellent ride, faster than last week. 

RB - Gotta get back in the groove. Bike was in the shop after the last ride. Had to get a spindal replaced. Rides great now.

I almost ran over a beaver crossing the trail. Seriously. Great ride except for the wind on the way back. 

RB - Group ride tonight. 

RB - Sherman, Mt. Pulaski, Elkhart loop. I thought the ride at first was going to be horrible. The roads in the the beginning had fresh rock which threw a storm of dust whenever a vehicle passed. After the half way mark, the pavement got smoother and I had a tail breeze.

This was my personal longest ride so far. Still working my way up to a 100. 

Finally got out of my non-riding funk. 

 

RB - First ride since last month. Felt good. 

MB - Relaxed ride with Mrs Shoo. 

RB - Short ride.  

RB - Wabash, Interurban, to Auburn, to Chatham Covered Bridge, Interurban, Wabash, home. Longest ride in a long time.

MB - Ride to Chatham and back with Sarah.  

Tour De Corn - Nice ride. Overcast, a few raindrops. 

RB - Easy ride... now to do 31 or 62 miles tomorrow? 

RB - Early morning sprint. Geez, I am not a morning person.

Mountain bike - felt like I was driving a suv. Ride with Mrs. Shoo. 

Wabash, interurban, and a trip out to the Covered Bridge in Chatham. A little windy today, but great weather. 

Very hot, little wind, junk on the trail from the storm. Good ride. Can feel that I am getting better in some areas. 

This week was a bad week trying to get rides in. 

RB- Got a new odometer, improved my avg.. 

This would have been a better longer ride if I hadn't blown out a tube. Lesson learned. This was on the Lincoln Prairie Trail between Taylorville.

I had to walk two miles with the bike to get picked up by the in-laws.

Yup, could have been a better ride.
